When we got our fridge the guy who put it in said the ice maker wouldn’t work cause the water part on the pipe had a leak so we didn’t hook it up.

But when I looked in my freezer there was ice and I don’t get that kind of ice no where.
We don’t even buy that kind of ice or there isn’t a kind.

But what if no one hooked it up?
its never been used for an ice maker. We’ve kept food in it. But then once we looked in it and there was ice.
it could be those spirits Blondie! I never know!

Have tried to defrost and turn power off. Sometimes it will fill but rarely. Have pressed the 3 buttons to reset and the ice tray rotates so all seems to work. Any ideas anybody? Thanks.
Bought the fridge through Grays on line so its a second and no warranty.

Currently I drink a lot of bottled water. I want to quit because I’m wasting money as well as contributing to an environmental problem. I’m looking into getting some kind of water filter but I don’t know what the best option is. Is a faucet filter better, or the container you keep in the fridge? Are there any other types that I don’t know about?

I don’t like onions so I don’t keep them in the fridge. This has also happened to me with several different refridgerators. I can’t stand it and need a solution.

Our fridge is brand new as is our home…and our ice maker is not making ice. It looks like the line inside the fridge has ice frozen in it. It’s covered under warranty, but it looks like a simple problem that I just don’t know how to fix myself.

What do I do to fix it? Yes, it is set up right, the water lline is working, just not the ice maker.

I bought a steel braided kit to connect my fridge to my water supply but the kit came with a 3/8" connector. It turns out that it is too small, I think about 1/8 of an inch. I’ve searched around and cannot find anything. Any suggestions??
Okay, thanx for the tips but I bought a kit. The kit was a steel braided kit and it DID come with everything. My problem is that the compression v-valve that came with it doesn’t fit on my water pipe, it is too small. I believe it is 3/8" but needs to be 1/2" and I can’t find a replacement anywhere.

I have a refrigerator that only has an inline filter instead of the additional (and much desired) second filter in the fridge. We have used the sink faucet one for awhile but it’s so expensive, has to be changed a lot, and is always in the way when I’m doing dishes. Would you recommend getting an undersink filtration system or buying something like Culligan delivered already filtered water?

I have a GE fridge with the freezer on top. I would like to remove the ice maker (don’t use it), but have no idea how. I can’t find any usefull stuff (manuals, etc) out there. Could somebody help with this? The fridge is new to me, Model GTS22KB or GTS22SB (not sure which). Thanks!
