I notice little white looking flakes in the bottom of my glass of water once all my ice melted. I figured it was my in freezer ice maker, so I pulled out my old school ice cube trays and the same thing happened when the ice started to melt, I could see little flakes coming off of the ice cubes. But when I tried this with store bought ice it was completely clear. What is the cause of my dirty ice? My faucet water is clear but when frozen and melted, its dirty.

Alright, so my mom has never used an ice maker before because she always made ice cubes in the little trays. But now, we wanna use the ice maker that is located inside our freezer. The fridge is a Hot Point brand. So, what do we do to make the ice?

the ice maker in the freezer is producing ice but doesn’t seem to go through the cycle properly to consistently make ice i am always checking it and i noticed i have to watch it go through the cycle and then push the on/off arm down so it hits the limiter switch to go through a second cycle before the tray fills with water is there any way to fix this problem?

Have just discovered these gorgeous coffee flavoured grain clusters. They would work beautifully with a vanilla ice cream. I was wondering, can these be put in – they are clusters of oats with a coffee coating – or will they go squishy and should I just sprinkle on top?

Also, how do I stop everything from sinking to the bottom? I use the freezer, have no ice cream maker.
