Need some help. Just got a house and the previous owner painted the kitchen cabinets black. The drawers and doors are painted a beige color. How do I paint over the black? (They also painted the back of a bedroom door black too!) Can I sand down the cabinets and get all the paint off, or should I just try to cover them. They painted the walls in the kitchen a sage green and put up a border with grapes on it.

I would like it to all be either white or back to the natural wood. Any suggestions?

I need to reorganize my kitchen-I live in a trailer so I don’t have a ton of space. Pots and pans and food are falling out every time you open a cupboard door. I have one small set of drawers and 6 cupboards. I need to find space for our food, cooking ingredients, pots and pans, and dishes so that things are organized and easy to access. I don’t have money to spend on organizing supplies, boxes, and racks. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ok, this may be a "duh" question but when putting on NEW hardware to cabinets and drawers that didnt have any prior, how do you measure. Do you put them in the center of the drawer face? And how do you know where to put them on the cabinet doors? I have knobs for the cabinets and handles for the drawers. Or should it be the other way around? Thanks!

We are painting our upper kitchen cabinets a cream color and our lower cabinets black. All of our hardware on doors and drawers are 3" pulls. We got a great deal on flat black hinges, so we bought enough for the whole kitchen.

With the hinges unifying the cabinets, could we get away with using cream colored pulls on the black cabinets and black pulls on the cream colored cabinets?

If you think we should use the same color hardware on both sets of cabinets, what color could we use that goes with cream and black paint and black hinges?

I should have said too that we are going for a traditional look rather than a contemporary one.
How would aged bronze pulls look with these colors?

I have a really nice custom built hardwood cabinets in my kitchen and want to add hardware to them. I am not sure what to use though. Is there as standard as far as what to use on the drawers and what to use on the cabinet doors?
Do I use knobs on both?
Do I use knobs on the doors and pulls (handles) on the drawers?
or
Do I use knobs on the drawers and handles on the doors?
I am so confused.

I have a shelving unit with lots of drawers and shelves etc. and I need to change the color. Does anyone have any east fix ideas.I don’t want to take it apart , it’s a very complicated unit and would take forever , not to mention the wear and tear on my nerves. Please help …. any solid ideas would be greatly appretiated. Thank you all in advance for your response.
just a reminder that veneer has a very smooth finish …. with that in mind i’m not sure a spray paint would work and I really need something that can be done in the house as this unit would be very difficult to move.

I’m looking to add kitchen cabinet hardware/handles to horizontal drawers and I’ve seen them placed in various positions. I’ve seen them most frequently dead center and above center (for lower drawers). I’m guessing dead center is the way to go but I’m curious if anyone else has a different take. Thanks!

We have a large kitchen but very little usable storage space and it’s rather annoying. I really do like to have a place for everything, from dry goods, etc.

I plan on putting pull out drawers in our pantry. Otherwise I’m not sure what to do. I’ve got enough room for an island because half of the kitchen is open space, but they are very expensive. Any suggestions would be helpful.
