How can I unclog plastic wrap from my bath tub plumbing?
I accidentally had a piece of plastic wrap go down my bath tub drain. Now it’s stuck somewhere in the pipe and it has clogged the drain. I’ve tried 3 different plumbing augers (sewer snakes), and a plunger. The plumbing augers caused the blockage to be forced down deeper into the pipes.and the plunger didn’t seem to accomplish anything.
After wards I tried pouring boiling hot water into the drain with hopes it would some how melt the thin plastic wrap into a smaller piece. That didn’t work either. At this point, I’m willing to try anything that doesn’t end up with me calling a plumber. The plumbing system in my home was likely installed before the 1930′s and uses old lead pipes.
