I’m looking at the instructions and i’m a bit confused. (1) I’m pushing the end connectors on to the valve bodies. how will the water get out to the faucet? 2) there was a lot of leaking when I connected what the water supply lines to the facet inlents; i used plubmbers tape and the lines are pretty tight.

  1. Is it a compression fitting?
This Old House says "Tip: Never use Teflon tape, Teflon paste, or other chemicals on compression threads, as they can lubricate the fitting and cause a leak."

As for the first Q, it’s hard to say without seeing the instructions. Sorry.

  2. That type has no washers, it will have to be replaced.
