  1. Hi, laminate flooring will last a long time if you take care of it. Use only a mild detergent cleaner. Key into the search engine and see what pops up. Use only a fine hair mop, and brush gently when sweeping.

  2. Do not wet mop! You can damp mop only if you need to – I’d suggest a very well wrung out sponge type mop.

There are special cleaners for laminate you can get at your local flooring store, they’ll have instructions right on them.

    I work in a flooring store…

  3. Swifter has come out with a swifter vac that helps and the swifter wet jet is wonderful for laminate

  4. I have tried all the special cleaners there are. I found that diluted alcohol lightly wiped on the floor cleans it good without to much wet and leaves no streaks. also the blue can of glass foam cleaner works well and also murphys oil soap very lightly without a real wet mop.

  5. I have cleaned house for many years and have done laminating floors. Before wet mopping laminating floors I would vacuum the floor real well. Just use a damp to the touch cleaning towel to wet mop. Only thing about the jet swifter I have been told they leave the floor sticking because the solution is too thick. To solve that just add some water to dilute. Any type of floor cleaner I use I dilute with water. Also make sure your have plenty of air stirring is best results for floor drying without streaks.

  6. Check with the manufacturer on their recommendations.
