		<description>I&#039;m sure they&#039;re made for the use you&#039;re putting them to - I don&#039;t think your cabinets are in any danger.  A foot or so of clearance will be OK. 

But I have seen fires set in the attic by recessed lightning..  So probably best to think along the lines of using a little smaller spot light than you&#039;d want to use.</description>
