How do I rough in a shower if the water supply is coming from top not bottom?

Most of the plumbing book illustrations assume that the water supply is coming from the bottom.

  1. Just turn the book upside down. Just kidding !!! Reverse everything. If putting in a shower run the lines down to your shower valve And then run a line to the place your shower arm will be. You need to have all the valves-one for the shower shut off (hot-cold-shower) and one for the shower arm.

  2. up or down does not mater……they just run pipes from the bottom up because it just easier to install….but no problem if there coming down….just end them at the height u want
