how do I reroute the waterpipe in my current laundry room in the basment to a room next to my kitchen?

The room as I stated is upstairs next to the kitchen and is currently used as storage. In comparison to where it is to the current laundry room. the current laundry is on the direct right of the stairwell leading downstairs and the storage room I will like the laundry room to be is on the direct left upstairs

  1. you need to find where the current water pipe runs from the main.after doing this walk the to the area under your new laundry room.this is where you will cut the pipe.shut off the water main ,drill a hole in the floor of new room, stick a piece of pipe thru hole.from downstairs locate the pipe and route to the pipe you will cut using elbows and piping.most likely it is a copper water pipe and you will need to sodier the fittings.if you have never done before you may want to hire someone.if PVC,then join together with primer and glue.if on the other side of stairs you may have to go thru the wood studs on the wall behind the stairs by drilling the studs.good luck
