Any thoughts on cordless air compressors?

My regular 2 gallon corded compressor just died on me after 5 years of service.. I’m thinkin about getting one of the CAMPBELL HAUSFELD cordless compressors from Wal*mart. Any thoughts? I really would only use it just the occassional car tire pressure maintenence, nothing too serious. Are they any good? What are the pros and cons? Thanks.

  1. Compressors take a lot of power and that would limit the advantage of "cordless" because of the size of batteries needed.

  2. Cordless models usually don’t have very much power to inflate tires or take a very long time to do so….they are convenient for other uses being portable as long as you only use them for light duty work like blowing up sports equipment, beach toys, etc…
